Charitable status

Ayr Storm are now a charitable organization registered in the UK with the OSCR under SCO48588.  This gives our club the necessary structure and status to continue to pursue our goal of providing the best basketball experience for our members and to drive healthy, physically and mentally fit communities in Ayrshire.  Our club is now governed by Trustees who oversee the well being of the club and ensure we are providing a quality service to the community.

PVG

(Protecting Vulnerable Groups)

The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme is managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland. It helps makes sure people whose behaviour makes them unsuitable to work with children and/or protected adults, can't do 'regulated work' with these vulnerable groups.

The protection of vulnerable groups is an issue all clubs and organizations should take serious.  At Ayr Storm we follow the basketball Scotland Policy on protection vulnerable groups, especially children.  Please Click this link to learn more:  http://sportlomo-userupload.s3.amazonaws.com/uploaded/galleries/11047_uploaded/Child-protection-policy_1478080886.pdf

All our coaches are either going through this evaluation or have their full PVG status.  If you have any questions please contact your section coach or the club on ayrstormbc@aol.com.
